The pages under /docs/manual are adapted from the Blender 5.2 LTS Manual by the Blender Documentation Team, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). The source is the manual's repository, branch blender-v5.2-release, commit 4a3be8f9ed3 of 2026-08-17.
These adapted pages, including the notes and pictures Angelo adds to them, are shared under the same licence, CC BY-SA 4.0. You may copy and adapt them under its terms, crediting the Blender Documentation Team and Hyperbond Studio.
As the manual's licence page says, its logos, trademarks, icons, source code and Python scripts are not covered by CC BY-SA. Blender is a trademark of the Blender Foundation. Angelo is made by Hyperbond Studio and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Blender Foundation.
The Angelo guide (the other pages under /docs) is Angelo's own documentation, not an adaptation of the manual.
What we changed everywhere
- The pages are restyled for this site and laid out with its navigation and search.
- Links point to the adapted page on this site when it is here, and otherwise to the same page of the Blender 5.2 LTS manual on docs.blender.org.
- Pictures are re-encoded (most as WebP) at their original size. Blender's interface icons inside the text are left out.
- Embedded videos are links to the video. Heading permalink markers are drawn by the site.
- The manual's guide to contributing to the manual is left out: it describes Blender's documentation process, not Angelo. Pages that link to it link to the original.
- The text itself is unchanged except where a page below lists a change.
What we changed on each page
- Window System Introduction: A note on Angelo's two modes: Angelo opens in Director, with the full layout this page describes in Manual.
- Splash Screen: A note on Angelo's start: the splash shows its art only, then Angelo's own setup card or start panel instead of Quick Setup and New File.
- Topbar: Notes on Angelo's top bar (the Angelo menu, the Chat and mode buttons, and Director's engine, Select Through and UV checker buttons) and on Angelo's Help menu.
- Workspaces: A note that Director mode hides the workspace tabs and works on a copy of the current workspace.
- Status Bar: A note that Director mode hides the status bar and shows its messages in the top bar.
- Keymap: A note on the shortcuts Angelo adds to Blender's keymap.
- Selecting: A note on Select Through, which lets box, circle and lasso selection reach hidden geometry in solid display.
- Undo & Redo: A note on how the agent's changes appear in Undo, and on snapshots.
