Video from your camera

New in 1.0.8Turn your scene camera's shot into an AI video, or render an animation straight to an MP4 file. Angelo renders the pictures a video model needs and hands them to Media Studio's Video tab; nothing is paid until you click Generate.

At a glance

  • Make Video from This Shot renders the camera's first and last frame and opens them as the clip's first and last frame.
  • Video from This Camera Move renders the camera's move as a video that a video model follows.
  • Render jobs can also write an animation as an MP4 (H.264) video beside its frames.

Where to find it

Camera to video
Chat bar + menu ▸ Create ▸ Video ▸ Make Video from This Shot / Video from This Camera Move; the Render menu; View ▸ Cameras.

Or ask the agent in the chat where to find it: it answers from the same list.

01Where to find it#

Both commands need a scene camera. They are in:

  • + at the left of the message box ▸ Video ▸ Make Video from This Shot or Video from This Camera Move.
  • The Render menu in the top bar.
  • In Manual, the 3D view's View ▸ Cameras menu.

02Make a video from this shot#

  1. Set up your scene camera and the scene's frame range: the first and last frames are the start and end of your shot.
  2. Choose Make Video from This Shot. There is no dialog: Angelo renders the first and last frame in EEVEE, 720 pixels on the short side, at 16:9 unless you chose another aspect ratio in the Video tab.
  3. Each frame renders as a job with a card in the chat, showing its progress and Cancel. Your render settings are put back afterwards. A row in the chat names the folder where the shot was saved, and says why if a frame is missing.
  4. Media Studio's Video tab opens with the two pictures as the first and last frame, and the shot's aspect ratio chosen. Pick a model, write what should happen in the shot, check the price and click Generate video (Make a clip).

To use a single frame instead, open the Video tab, click Add first frame… or Add last frame… and choose From the current camera.

03Video from this camera move#

Video from This Camera Move renders the scene's frame range through the camera in Workbench at 480 pixels, as an MP4. The Video tab opens with it as the Reference video, so the generated clip follows your camera's motion.

  • On fal, Seedance, MiniMax H3 and Wan take a reference video; Veo and Kling don't. Seedance on BytePlus doesn't take one.
  • A reference video can be up to 50 MB. With Seedance its length counts toward the price; with MiniMax H3 the price can't be estimated.
  • A scene of a single frame has no move to render.

04Render an animation to MP4#

When you ask the agent to render an animation, it can also make an MP4 video of it. The approval says so: "Also makes <name>.mp4, an H.264 video of the frames".

How it works
Frames firstThe animation renders as PNG frames, as usual. Only once every frame is complete does Angelo make the video from them.
The videoAn H.264 MP4 at the scene's frame rate, in the animation's folder and named after it. The picture size is rounded down to even numbers. It has no sound.
If it stopsA cancelled or stopped render keeps its finished frames but makes no video. A render resumed later writes only frames: render again for the video.

The video is a second pass over the frames, so both take disk space.
