At a glance

  • Click the search pill at the top centre of the 3D view, in Object Mode, and type what you need.
  • Drag a result into the scene, or double-click it: a model stands on the surface, a material goes on the object, an HDRI lights the scene.
  • The agent can search the library and add items for you, asking first.

Where to find it

Angelo Library
The search pill at the top centre of the 3D view in Object Mode; chat bar + menu ▸ Create ▸ Angelo Library; Browse Library Materials / HDRIs in the Material and World properties.

Or ask the agent in the chat where to find it: it answers from the same list.

01Find something#

  1. Switch to Object Mode. Click the search pill at the top centre of the 3D view, in Director or Manual.
  2. Type, for example "oak chair", "brick" or "studio HDRI". Results appear as you type. A word for a kind (model, texture or material, HDRI, VFX) narrows the results to that kind.
  3. For more room, open the browser (Browse): the same results docked along the 3D view's left edge, with a chip for each kind. Select an item to see its source, licence, download size (or "on this computer") and its resolutions.

Other ways in:

  • + at the left of the message box ▸ Angelo Library opens the browser.
  • In Properties, the Material tab's Angelo Library Materials panel has Browse Library Materials, and the World tab's Angelo Library HDRIs panel has Browse Library HDRIs (both panels start collapsed). Each opens the browser on that kind.

02Add it to your scene#

Drag a tile into a 3D view, or double-click it (or press Return) to add it where the view is looking. The download starts as soon as you start dragging; progress and any problem show under the search pill.

KindBecomes
ModelStands on the surface under the pointer (else the ground, else the 3D cursor), at its own size, in a new collection named “Library · ” and its title.
Texture setOne material, on the object under the pointer or the selected objects. Its tiling stays editable.
HDRIThe scene's world. A Solid view switches to Material Preview so you can see it.
VFXAn upright picture plane with the sprite's colour and transparency.

Each addition is one Undo step.

03Ask the agent#

Ask for something in the chat, such as "add a wooden table" or "light it with a sunset HDRI". The agent can search the library without asking, and shows a card before it adds an item: the item, its resolution, licence and download size, and what it changes. An HDRI the agent adds changes the scene's world but not your view.

04Licences and credits#

The items come from open collections. Almost all are CC0, free to use for anything without credit; the few that need credit carry it with what you add. The browser's Credits button copies the credits of every library item in your file, those that need attribution first.

Downloads are kept on your computer, so adding an item again is quick. Angelo checks every downloaded file before Blender opens it.
