Blender's long-standing requests

Angelo is built on Blender and can change it, so it builds fixes and features Blender artists have asked for again and again. The list, and where Angelo stands on each, is on the Blender requests page.

At a glance

  • See the list at Blender requests: each entry says what people ask for, how much demand there is, with its sources, and Angelo's status.
  • Missing one? Suggest it with the form at the end of that page.

01Built so far#

New in 1.0.8 Angelo 1.0.8 adds five of them: Select Through, bake every map at once, render a region over the last render, tension maps and a UV checker in the viewport.

02What the statuses mean#

StatusMeaning
ShippedIn an Angelo release you can download today.
PlannedDecided, and being built or tested. Not in a release yet.
ConsideringOn the list to consider. No promise and no date.

03Suggest a request#

  1. Open Blender requests and scroll to Missing one?
  2. Under The fix or feature, say it in one line.
  3. Under Where people asked for it, add at least one link, and up to five, to the threads, votes or bug reports where people asked for it. Links matter most: they are how the list is ranked.
  4. Optionally, say Why it matters to your work, and give an Email if you'd like to hear back.
  5. Click Send request.

The Angelo team reads the threads you linked and adds the request to the list if the demand is there. What you send is kept for a year to review the list. Your email is used only to reply; the request is shared within the team without it. See the privacy policy.
